Who is Tambourine?
Nestled in the Northern California costal region, Tambourine Farm provides horsemanship experiences as well as equestrian vaulting. Tambourine Vaulters started in 1983 with their first year of competition. The team members participated in vaulting as a group-determined project in 4-H.The team has continued to grow under Coach Kelley Holly. They participate in fund raisers, demonstrations, and competitions from local fun fests to international competitions.
Kelley started riding at age 3 and has been involved with many different disciplines. She has competed in Saddle Seat, Western, Hunter Jumpers, and Basic Dressage. After high school she attended UC Davis and actively participated in the equestrian center's program as a rider and instructor. Kelley revitalized the UC Davis vaulting team and continued to work on her own vaulting team at home on the weekends. She holds all medals up through and including Gold. As for her education, she earned a masters in education and administration, Certification as CHA Master Instructor (English and Western) USEF and AVA "R" judge and a steward at the FEI level 2. She is truly an educator of horses and vaulters. Kelley Holly has been the AVA National 2-phase gold women's champion in the past. She has taken both individuals and teams from the beginning levels on up through international rankings. In 2011 Kelley was selected as the AVA Mentor of the Year in recognition of her extrodinary contributions in support and growth of the sport of vaulting.
Tambourine Vaulters have vaulting available for all ages and levels. Our youngest vaulter was 18 months old when he started and our oldest vaulter continued into her 70s. We offer practices throughout the year and always welcome new members. For those that want to start vaulting later in their years, we also offer a Vintage Vaulters class for adults only.
